Moran Cerf

Moran Cerf is a professor of neuroscience and business as the Kellogg School of Management.Additionally, he is a member of the Academy of Motion Pictures (“AFI”) where he holds the Alfred P. Sloan chair for screenwriting and is a science consultant to film and TV shows such as “Limitless”, “Bull”, “Mr. Robot”, and more.Prof. Cerf completed his PhD at Caltech and received a B.Sc. in Physics and an M.A in Philosophy from Tel-Aviv University.Prof. Cerf’s research aims to understand the neural mechanisms that determine our psychology, and the way choices and decisions are formed in our brain. His research investigates humans’ dreams, preferences, engagement with content and decisions in context that can be used to predict future human behaviors with high accuracy - often before they themselves are able to tell their decisions.Prof. Cerf holds numerous patents, over 70 academic papers in acclaimed journals and his research receives worldwide attention. His work was featured in popular outlets such as CNN, BBC, Times, Forbes and hundred others. Much of Prof. Cerf’s work was made public through his popular talks at large-scale events such as TED, TEDx, The World Economics Forum and numerous others, where he garnered millions of followers. Recently, he was named one of the “40 leading professors under 40”.Prior to his academic career, Prof. Cerf worked in the cybersecurity industry as a hacker, and was on the board of leading tech companies.
