On 10 June, Cannes Lions announced The News Movement — the social-first publisher and creative studio — as the official media partner for the Young Lions competitions. This is the publisher’s first collaboration of this kind, and its journalists will be tasked with sharing the competitors’ stories and behind-the-scenes content from the festival.
As part of the media partnership, The News Movement will launch a video series featuring highlights from competitors, advice for careers in advertising, and interviews with ‘agency leaders of tomorrow’.
This series will be curated by The News Movement’s Editorial Director Becca Hutson and shared across the publisher’s social channels, which reach millions of 18-30 year olds. Lotte Jones, Chief Commercial Officer at The News Movement, commented:
