We shall create work that truly matters, work that transcends our own egos.
The world is a hot mess, we all know it
But hey, at least we are finally admitting it. Climate change, inequality, and social injustice are all knocking on our doorstep. And we are beginning to realise that creators wield potent tools to take on these challenges head-on. So here’s the deal: we pledge to harness our global interconnectedness to bind our creativity to causes. We will hack the biases and dismantle the barriers that impede our progress. We will feed social channels and algorithms with diverse truths and use the same tactics of persuasion that once peddled washing detergent to help salvage the planet.
As we pen compelling headlines against cruelty, injustice, and greed. Artists, musicians, and filmmakers will change the conversation to amplify the voices of those long marginalised. A formidable collective of creators with kooky glasses on a shared mission: to leave a positive imprint on the world.
And who knows, we may even build some bridges between cultures on our way. Because at the end of the day, we’re all in this together. So let us harness the eyes and ears of culture that we have at our disposal and craft a brighter future for all.
