We Are Social, the world’s biggest social media agency, has announced the launch of its sister agency, Hello, in the UK. Offering bespoke culture-driven campaigns to entrepreneurial brands, Hello meets the increasing demand for agencies with expertise in culture and social media.
Matt Roberts will oversee the UK branch, taking on the role of Managing Director. Having previously worked at AnalogFolk, Prodigious and Publicis•Poke, Roberts will lead and develop the Hello team to bring in clients and drive the agency’s growth strategy.
The Shoreditch-based office consists of a team of ten and a client roster including TikTok and Supercell. According to a press release, the UK branch is the third to launch, after Italy in 2019 and the US earlier this year.
Roberts commented on his position and the launch of the UK office: ‘Hello has a real desire to disrupt the market. We have the opportunity — as a business spun out of the world’s latest social agency — to take on board everything that has made We Are Social a success and put our own mark on it. I’ve always enjoyed developing new propositions, capabilities and relationships, and I’m excited to lead the team at Hello to make unique and impactful work for our clients.’
Hello will operate separately from We Are Social and is part of the Plus Company network, which includes Cossette, Citizen Relations and Mekanism. Jim Coleman, regional lead for the UK and US at Plus Company and UK chief executive at We Are Social, said:
‘The launch of Hello in the UK is an important milestone in the expansion of our socially-led, culture-first offering to brands. It offers the advantages of an agile and culture obsessed team with the backing of a global network. We’re delighted that Matt has decided to join us to lead Hello — his passion for building a successful business was clear. I’m looking forward to seeing him make an impact.’
