5th Polaris Leadership Summit to explore changing dynamics of political campaigning

The Summit will bring together leaders in political communication to address the challenge of rebuilding trust in a polarised society

Kapital Media is thrilled to announce the 5th Polaris Leadership Summit, set to take place on June 1, 2023, at County Hall in London. The prestigious event will bring together political strategists, public affairs professionals, public sector communicators, and technologists from around the globe to discuss and exchange ideas on trends in election and public sector campaigning.

This year’s theme, Rebuilding Trust, addresses the alarming decline in trust in the government, public institutions, and the media worldwide. In a society increasingly polarized and influenced by a post-truth information environment, the summit will delve into how communications and technology can be leveraged to rebuild trust.

In today’s digital age, the world has become increasingly complex, presenting leaders with new opportunities and challenges in engaging with the public. The Polaris Leadership Summit aims to provide a platform for professionals to share insights, benchmark their work, and celebrate achievements that set new standards for leadership in this rapidly evolving landscape.

A stellar line-up

The summit will feature a range of talks, panel discussions, and case studies, focusing on global trends and local perspectives. The agenda will address the social, political, and economic shifts shaping public opinion and political action on a global scale, providing insights into political campaigning, public sector communication, and issue advocacy around the world.

Some of this year’s speakers at the Polaris Leadership Summit include Ekrem Imamoglu (Vice Presidential Candidate of Turkey, Mayor of Istanbul), Dr Karin von Hippel (Director-General, Royal United Services Institute), Dr Michelle Harrison (Global CEO, Kantar Public), Rebecca Donatelli (Founder, Campaign Solutions, and President, Bear Flag Strategies), Jessica Cecil (Founder, Trusted News Initiative), and Sir Chris Powell (ex-CEO, BMP).

A night of celebration

The Polaris Leadership Summit will also be host to the 2023 Polaris Awards, an international award show highlighting the best in election and public sector campaigning. The Polaris Awards Gala will start with a cocktail reception, followed by the dinner and awards ceremony where this year’s winners will be announced.
